One thing that had not occurred to me, or had perhaps occurred to me just in passing, was that the carpet-to-hardwood-floor transition was going to present some challenges for the bubs. Team Hexberg did successfully complete that project last weekend, and now the Piggy has to go barefoot or in shoes throughout the house. Sock-footedness is a recipe for disaster, which is unfortunate, because the Piggy recently became enamored of socks. After a fruitless but highly entertaining struggle to put a pair on himself yesterday, he brought it to me and had me put them on, then walked off and promptly fell flat on his back. I guess that urethane coating did its job.
Otherwise he quite enjoys the hardwood. Luckily we had the foresight to immediately hammer felt pads into all the dining room chairs, because now he entertains himself by pushing them all over the place, along with his rocking bull and anything else bulky and slide-able. I will post some "after" project pictures tonight; things are turning out great!
