This sad article made me think about something Jared and I have talked about for a while -- visiting a puppy farm. (In this story, it was a puppy mill; not sure what, if any, difference there might be.) I had never heard of such a thing, but Jared assures me that there are top-secret puppy breeding farms. Somehow, a puppy ranch seems like a better term. Anyway, it sounds like it would be pretty interesting, although I have to admit I had imagined puppy farming as more of a free-range endeavor than this article implies.
Neither one of us knows any large-scale puppy farmers, though, and apparently the farm locations are carefully guarded secrets or something. Anyone know of one that might not mind us stopping by?
