I just got an email from Costco entitled "New Year, New You". Typical new year's resolution commercialism, except that I was pretty puzzled by the offerings in the email itself. Apparently the main appendages of the "new me" include digital projectors, a big-screen TV, and a European vacation.
I can understand the Ironman exercise equipment, but I really don't fathom how a digital projector will change me in any appreciable way. Unless I am meant to conclude that I would look better in a dimly-lit entertainment room. Or in Photoshopped pictures from my new digital camera. Or from a distance, such as from here to Europe.
