I am looking for one of Thor's mittens, the kind that keep babies from scratching themselves.

Me: Have you seen that mitten anywhere? I had it here just a minute ago.
Jared: Hm. I can't see it.
Me: OK, it has to be here. I saw it just a few minutes ago.

I continue searching for several minutes.

Jared: Wait; have you looked under your shirt?
Me: What?
Jared: Just check under your shirt.
Me: What do you know; there it is!
